These Terms and Conditions outline the services offered by Jaffna Airways Limited and define the responsibilities of Jaffna Airways Limited, the licensed airlines, and transport providers we partner with. By making a booking through Jaffna Airways Limited, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

1. General Information

Jaffna Airways Limited acts solely as a flight booking service agent for licensed domestic airlines operating within Sri Lanka and as a booking intermediary for road transport (van hire) services. All flight services offered through Jaffna Airways Limited operate strictly as domestic air services within Sri Lanka, under a valid Domestic Airline Operator Licence issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL). Jaffna Airways Limited does not own, operate, or control any aircraft or road vehicles. All flight and road transport operations are carried out entirely by their respective licensed service providers, who bear full operational responsibility.

2. Our Responsibilities

    Jaffna Airways Limited is responsible for:
  • Providing accurate flight schedules, fares, and van hire information based on information supplied by service providers.
  • Assisting passengers with booking, payment, and confirmation for flights and road transport.
  • Facilitating communication between passengers and the respective airline or van operator.
  • Ensuring bookings are made only through licensed, reputable, and authorized service providers.

3. Airline Responsibilities

All flight operations are carried out exclusively by David Peiris Aviation (Pvt) Ltd. a licensed domestic airline operator in Sri Lanka.

    The airline is solely responsible for:
  • Passenger transport and flight operations.
  • Aircraft safety, airworthiness, and crew operations.
  • Baggage and cargo handling.
  • On-board and ground safety procedures.
  • Flight delays, cancellations, rescheduling, and operational changes.
  • Flight delays, cancellations, and schedule changes.
  • Compliance with all aviation, health, security, and safety regulations.

Passengers are advised to review and comply with the Terms and Conditions of David Peiris Aviation (Pvt) Ltd, which apply directly to all flights.

4. Road Transport Responsibilities

  • All road transport services, including van hire, are operated entirely by independent, licensed van operators.
  • Each van operator is fully responsible for passenger and goods transport, vehicle condition and maintenance, driver licensing and conduct, and road safety, including accidents, damages, or delays.
  • Jaffna Airways Limited acts only as a booking intermediary and is not liable for any incident, damage, delay, or loss occurring during road transport.

5. Flight Routes

  • Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) to Palali Airport, Jaffna (JAF).
  • Ratmalana Airport, Colombo.

6. Fees and Fares

  • All aircraft used are domestic with limited seat capacity.
  • Every seat booked is counted per person, whether adult or child, and fares are the same for adults and children.
  • Fares cover short-distance travel.
  • All fares and van hire charges must be paid in full at the time of booking.

7. Refund and Changes Policy

  • Flight Ticket Refund & Change Policy: • Cancellations:Katunayake → Jaffna: LKR 30,000 administration and booking fee. Ratmalana ↔ Jaffna: LKR 10,000 deduction • Changes (date, name correction, or flight change): Katunayake → Jaffna: LKR 10,000 per ticket.Ratmalana ↔ Jaffna: LKR 3,500 per ticket
Van Hire – Refund & Change Policy • Cancellations: LKR 3,700 administration and booking fee • Changes (date, name, or van): LKR 2,000 per ticket. Requests: Must be submitted in writing before departure Refunds: Flight and van ticket refunds are typically processed within 7–14 days, depending on your bank or payment provider

8. Baggage Allowance (Air Travel)

  • Each passenger is allowed luggage according to the package selected. Please refer to the policy or terms of your chosen package for details.

9. Road Transport Luggage Policy

  • Luggage allowances and restrictions are set by the van operator.
  • Overloading or carrying prohibited or hazardous materials is not allowed.
  • Passengers must comply with the operator's luggage and safety requirements.
  • If you have chosen the Next Day Delivery Main Luggage Service, it is the customer’s responsibility to check and confirm that the luggage is not damaged or open before loading.We are not responsible for any damage or issues found inside the luggage after loading, as we ensure all items are handled safely and transported smoothly.

10. Tourism and Additional Services

Additional services such as tourist packages, tour guides, or helicopter and small aircraft tours are operated by Gemray Explore Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, which bears full responsibility for those services.

11. Liability Disclaimer

  • Jaffna Airways Limited is not responsible for flight or road transport delays, cancellations, or changes made by the airline or van operator.
  • We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury during air or road travel.
  • We act strictly as an intermediary between passengers and airlines, tour operators, or transport providers.
  • Please check the airport rules and regulations before you travel.

12. Changes and Updates

Jaffna Airways Limited reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
